  • Please FIX Upside down reversed Export to FLASH

Please hurry and issue an interim patch to fix the problem when exporting from timeling to FLASH compatible AVI.

When the exported file is subsequently imported into FLASH, it is upside down and reversed.

I've tried every diffeerent format and they all do it.

This is very frustrating and only happens in 4.6

    Thanks,
    Bob

What if you render out your timeline to HQ, re import it back to the timeline, apply a vertical mirror filter, then change the speed to -100? Would this work?

This still occcurs with MS DV CODEC?

Flix ON2 has the same issue with Canopus HQ. Fixed with MS DV.

As long as you export an AVI from the EDIUS timeline in a non-Canopus HQ codec, then you shouldn't have any problems. It's only the HQ AVIs that seem to be causing this problem at this time.

I'm beginning to wonder if it's something related to YUV overlay or YUV codecs.

Is Canopus DV stuff upside down too, then?

Canopus DV codec - upside down
MS DV codec - right way up
Is there a clue in there?

As discussed before in a previous thread Sorenson Media Squeeze does the same thing with Canopus HQ and lossless codec including the new 5.0 version just released.

                      Guys I have Flix Pro

I can convert Canopus HQ and DV clips no problems to flv.
Can also encode straight from the timeline with Flix Export to flv no problems.
Same if I use FLASH 8 encoder from the timeline?

                      I'm on 4.60

Can we start "bothering" Sorenson developers since they have finished the version 5.0 upgrade?

Does anyone have Huffy YUV installed that they can test, to see if it too is upside down?

Let's do it - the more companies involved the better the chance of success in finding a solution.

HuffYUV or Lagarith may also be a good test case.
