  • Render and Paste files have disapparead

Opening my current project this morning, I noticed that all of my render-and-paste files have gone offline. I figured a simple re-link operation would solve the problem, but to my surprise the clips are no longer in the Render and Paste folder either, nor anywhere else on my edit drive (I did a search). I still see them listed in the Job Monitor, but there is no export file path listed. I can't think any other options than to start re-rendering every sequence and sub-sequence in an hour-long show, which will take me a good part of the day.

Has anyone else ran into this issue? This makes me concerned going forward, as I use Shift+Q extensively in my edits. This is the first time I've seen this behavior, but if it continues, I may have to go back to v9.

    I'm on EdiusX 10.10.6765.

I should add that I checked my previous project on another drive, and the Render and Paste files were intact. So whatever is going on maybe has to do with this project and/or drive. Maybe tonight before shutting down I'll copy the render-and-paste clips to another folder, just in case they are purged from the R-n-P folder tomorrow morning again.

I never heard of a paste folder, is this something that you made yourself in file explorer?

        Hi Anton:
If you enter SHIFT+Q then the rendered Clips will be stored by EdiusX into a new, separate "RenderAndPaste"-folder (and not into the usual "rendered"-folder).
I think jsysjanen means that folder.

ahhhahhh, he means the Shift+Q render

that should not vanish providing his drive that stores the projects is excluded from anti virus and anti malware scanners

my entire V (Video) drive is excluded from Win 10 defender

I like that the SHIFT+Q clips are now stored in their own folder; before EdiusX I did/had to do this all manually.
IMO it's also a better solution from an organizational point of view.
HOWEVER, the contents of a RenderAndPaste-folder have never disappeared on me.
