With RED, you will need a hefty CPU, GPU, and storage subsystem...especially for 6K. BRAW is more efficient but if you are editing 6K, the same hardware
    requirements should apply.

I don't see any Blackmagic listed in EDIUS X WG or 9 WG Importer/Exporter section, however the X specs say the following:

    • RED RAW decode GPU support
    • Apple ProRes export
    • Apple ProRes RAW decode
    • Apple MOV (H.264/H.265) export
    • Blackmagic RAW decode
    • Blackmagic Film Gamma support
It's listed under color space and you can also see it in PCC when selecting either source or destination.

Black magic RAW works really well in Edius 9 and X

  • I expect EDIUS to optimize for R3D and BRAW format, graphics decoding.

Recently rented a RED 6K camera, and Bmpcc 6k. I found that EDIUS9 WorkGroup ,GTX1050 Video card Preview very slow,CUDA acceleration has been enabled,GPU usage is to low,Hope to learn from DaVinci Graphics acceleration.I can only edit at lower resolution now,If EDIUSX is optimized, I will buy it.

I risked my life to go to the computer store yesterday,Test New Test the new processor and graphics Card.Because profiteers abound.
My own Sony a7s3 4K 10bit 422 use i7 1165G7 Iris Xe graphics card,4K 265 10bit 422 is still not supported,Disappointed with the new intel xe graphics card,It is highly not recommended to buy i7 1165G7 xe graphics card.

Please don't learn Intel squeeze toothpaste,In recent years AMD NVIDIA DaVinci has great progress progress.

    From EDIUS Loyal Users
    Thanks
