  • Loving Edius X

2 days into using X after previously using versions 3.5,4,5,6.08 & version 9.

Just loving the audio plug ins. Wow, I filmed a primary school concert in an echoey room and then placed the Acon revererate for Edius on the audio and BANG it fixed the horrible reverb from the hall. How the hell it does this I don't know but the difference is significant.

I also used the limiter and set it to -6db and it also works a treat.

I'm also impressed with Titler Pro 7.

    Happy days ahead.

Also take a look at the Wave plugins. There are tons of them and very inexpensive. Steve, Jerry, and I have tested quite a few and have made a few recommendations (try a search). To me, this support is a bit of an under the radar fabulous addition. For example you can buy 2 plugins for $29/ea and get 2 more free. The breaks down to about $15 a plugin. And there are some great ones out there.

What actual filters do you use? Limiter?

Be sure and take note of where it is installed. Then in EDIUS go to Settings-System Settings-VST Plugin Bridge. On the right side, click the Add button and then navigate to the folder where they are saved. You can have multiple locations here. Restart EDIUS and then look in the Effects tab under Audio Filters and then VST2.
