Multicam issue

I don't know what causes this issue but sometimes in multicam I can't add dissolves to the selected tracks.

I mark an in and out point, go Shift S and this adds the clips to a vacant track and usually I just drag a dissolve over the highlights tracks but for some reason it just won't do it. I opened up a new sequence and tried it and it worked. went back to the edit sequence but no luck.

Yes, we have done the compress to a single track stage. I was trying to do this via Team Viewer for a friend new to Edius. It works at my end no issues. But like I said I could do it via Team Viewer when I went to a different sequence but still within the same Project. Strange.

check his project settings, application, timeline and see how his extend clip setting is set, maybe wrong
