  • Edius X GV monitor and file explorer

    Hello,

After closing a project, GV monitor does not release the working directory of the project.
It is impossible to delete this directory with file explorer (Win10).
How to close GV monitor automatically when E10 is closed?

you can right click the icon and choose exit

the reason it stays open is because EDIUS X allows you to start an export and while the export is running, you can do any of the following with no issue to the ongoing export

    1. continue editing
    2. open a different project and edit
    3. start a new project
    4. close EDIUS

I agree with you for the cases cited.
But when Edius X is closed and there is no more stain in the GV Monitor it could also be closed or at least remove the lock to block any file deletion by WIN 10 Explorer.
To date when we close Edius X and there is no more task, Grass Valley leaves us in the background GV Monitor and now Edius.net Setup Manager, fortunately not all programs leave so much background.
