Ok, I understand! The fact is that I had dozens of clips and I didn't find the one I needed...

@ everybody: I solved the problem by creating the number of new sequences I needed, and in the original one setting instead of 1 sec in the timeline, 1 min: in this way selecting more clips in a clic was easier.
So we can say I got it from a "backdoor" :-)
but I thought it could be possible remove cut points even if you joined together two clips...

What exactly do you want to do with this group of clips? As Steve suggested it takes no time at all to select all of a group of clips and get them to act as one. There are several ways to do it very quickly. I have a feeling that what you may want to do will not require one large clip at all.

    You can draw select.
    Takes 1 second.

@SRsupport: selecting by hand is what I'm trying to avoid, if you have loads of small clips. It would be better merge them in a single clip.
I tryed to export them, but what format should I use? The original one is an mpeg acquisition from tv, and I want to have the final clip in mpeg1.
But encoding the group of clips to obtain a single, bigger mpeg1 one, than cutting it and then reencoding in mpeg1 makes the image quite poor...

You can also select all the clips and croup them.
This way you can move them together too.
Although they will be a group of clips not one as you asked.

You can also export the clips to one file and use that file on the time line

    set in and outpoint

add to bin as sequence between in and out, now all clips will be a single sequence in the bin that you can drag anywhere

started a topic Create une single clip from several ones

Create une single clip from several ones

I'm working under vista with edius 4.54, and I'm trying to make one clip from several ones. I tryed the remove cut tool, but it only works when you did cut and not when you want to "fuse" two clips together.
In my case I have a recorded video and I cut off the spots, but then I need to have a single blok in the timeline, so to select all with one click and cut it in other ways. How can I do to merge all clips, so to create a single block in timeline?
Working...
