This is not the lounge, so please don't treat it as such. If you have legitimate questions about the forum , ask them, which we will answer if we can. This is the same as the old forum, which was quite old, just an updated version. And No not a new webmaster and that came across as a bit insulting.

Smells like a new web master was hired and they decided to fix what wasn't broken. Why reinvent when incremental improvement is what was needed? Or is it driven by a switch to a new hosting service/software?

In my personal opinion:

the old forum was great on a desktop and terrible on a phone
the new forum is great on a phone and terrible on a desktop

with the old forum, I could instantly see which country a poster is from
with the old forum, I could see how many people are viewing a certain thread
with the old forum, I could click the thread title and I would be taken to the newest post within the thread
with the old forum, I could instantly get back to the forum overview from the bottom of any thread
with the old forum, I could sort by thread starter to see all threads of a particular user

on the plus side of the new forum:
image attachment handling is way better
image attachments are allowed in PMs

on the minus side of the new forum:
all user forum formatting settings are broken, any color change of the interface or text size change is never saved even after clicking save (why are these options available if they can't be saved)

For me there is a lot missing. I do not see anyone's signature or my own. I miss the ability to just see new things for me. ie remember what I last looked at and only give me new ones. I cannot save any changes because it wants me to save my birthdate which it will not allow me to change. It goes on. I really do not like this layout at all.

Too many things not working. I think the change over was way premature and software needs another few weeks of development. Too soon to pass real comments as so much doesn't work. So far much prefer the old forum layout.

Here's my whinge list...I mean bits that are not working for me.

1 "emails do not match" bug being investigated.
2 Location not showing as before below poster. I found that useful.
3 Avitars - if we cant upload what's the point
4 Latest posts- I cannot figure out why they do not always show up - much preferred the latest post button
EDIT: To Elaborate it seems Latest Activity only shows after first clicking FORUM. However that only seems to show New Posts, Same with Latest Topics. In short a dog's breakfast - The latest posts button on the old forum just worked
5 I cannot remember but I'm sure there are others, that some will add so as to consolidate.

WHAT I DO LIKE - It saves what you are typing as an Auto Save.
