Hi, sorry everyone!
being transparent, I work in local TV news, and we’re on separate machines, sometimes out in the field without a super reliable connection to the home network. I’m going to look more into the check out project feature, and I appreciate everyone’s responses!

The ezp file is in the main specific folder. Copy the folder as it is on any HD/SSD disk (as backup of the job). This backup may be share with anybody and any computer with Edius can open the project.
Simple and efficient.

.ezp will only work easily if recipient has all the assets located in an identical location on their system. I work this way. Problem arises if one editor adds assets and only ships .ezp across/back.

Are you on a shared network or are these independent machines? We need to know a little bit more about your workflow for the best answer.

Also, AAF will send out a timeline, but like Lew mentioned, the editor will need access to the source files.

Depending on your workflow, the field editing features of Edius might work for you where you can check out a project, hand that over to another editor to work on it and you could check it back in to your system for further work. Look in the File menu under Field Editing to try it. See the PDF manual and see if that would work for you. There are other options. Does the second editor have access to the source video files?Last edited by LewS; 07-30-2020, 06:06 PM.
