I ran a search on the forum on importing SRT files into Edius or using them in Edius. I got nothing on my search, nothing. Can someone point me o a tutorial some where?

If you have Vistitle you can create, export, or import .srt subtitles directly onto the Edius timeline.

Thats fine and Dandy. I believe Jim also has Subtitle Edit which can also do the conversion, but the files are for different putposes. SRT is a subtitle format and SCC is a closed caption format. They are used for different purposes.

Adobe Premiere Pro native import srt subtitle. Export video from Edius, open it on Premiere and insert srt subtitle.

Here is a down and dirty video showing you how to import .srt files into the Vistitle subtitle editor. Since this video is not a full on tutorial, 99% of the functionality of the
interface is not discussed. The .srt file was created with Vistitle.

You can also use subtitle edit to export an fcp XML with tga stills that can be imported into Edius and placed over a video on a new video layer. The XML automatically placed and times the tgas. I did cover this process in another post on the forum.
