Can you tell us what you have on your motherboard? All the add-on cards, including the video card? (And your sound card as well)?

I am using Quadro FX3500 and HX-E1 card on my motherboard, and both IRQs are the same (IRQ 16). No problem at all.

I think that the problem is just on the card NX because in task manager on windows , the NX card IRQ and the graphics card IRQ is the same in my motherboard (16) I fear that's the problem .
Someone could tell me if that's the problem?
how can i change the irq on my bios ????
i have hp 8400 workstation graphic card nvida quadro fx1500 and HX-E2
    Thank you very much

NX card has its own Firewire port. No such thing as connecting the NX to the PC Firewire port. You don't do such thing. However, if you are using the component out supplementary card, then you have to connect the NX card's firewire port to the component out firewire port as well (internally).

Depending on his PC - it may or may not have Firewire ports on the motherboard .... my Supermicro motherboard, for example - has no firewire ports builtin, only USB.

doesn't NX need to be connected to PC's internal F/W port.....

and Can you attach your vtr/cam to another port on PC? tri generic OHCI DV in edius?
