DVCapture won't work after upgrading to Edius 4.6

After upgrading to Edius 4.6 DVCapture will no longer capture. When trying to use DVCapture it starts ok, but when I click the record nothing happens. It worked great until I installed the Edius 4.6 upgrade. Edius works ok, but if I try to use the DVCapture first, Edius will also hang up until I reboot. Any ideas?

What is the version of dvcapture you are using?
Do you use the NX.

The reason I ask is that I see that with 4.6 if I have my deck hooked up to the NX I can't capture if I choose the NHX-E2 dv.
I have to choose the decks name and then It works.

If I choose NHX-E2 dv I can control the deck I see it on the broadcast monitor but have no overlay on the PC.

If I choose the deck via its name it works as usual.

You are absolutely correct. Selecting the generic device name and it works again. Although, in the settings I had selected on Ext tab in the Device List the "Select devices automatically" checked. This will make DVCapture select the NHX-E2-DV device and it will hang up. Once I unchecked the "Select devices automatically" and restarted DVCapture it works fine. Thanks for the tip.

I also spoke with GV/Canopus tech support and they concluded that it should work either way. He was of an opinon something is wrong with DVCapture since it works in Edius capture with no problems.

when i switch on camcorder or dvcorder, edius did not recognize it, on the left screen nothing appears, nothing happens

Are you talking about the application DVcapture or just capturing dv in Edius?
It is not very clear.
Dvcapture is a stand alone app to capture dv from 3 sources.

Do you have a canopus hardware card or are you using Edius ohci?

2 what are you trying to capture?
3 Do you have sp2 for xp installed ?
