  • Problem with sequence

    Hello everyone.
I work on a wedding and i make 5 sequences + one the complete. So when I preview each sequence apart evrything is OK video, transition effect audio. When I preview the complete 45sequenece also everything is ok.Now I try the first time to make a AVI file.and when is done I preview this and the audio at end of the file is shorter then the video. Then I try to make a mt2 file to print to tape and when He as render about 95% he stop.So I don't now what I doing throng.Maybe can anyome help me with this.Thje last thing I going to try today is copy and paste all the files to one timeline and try to render to print on a DVD.

    Thank you all

I actually like copy paste all sequences into a final one, it is easy to fine tune things then

the important thing is to make sure VA1 has focus when you Shift+A and Ctrl+C a sequence

then go to new empty compile sequence and make sure VA1 has focus when you press Ctrl+V

then Shift+A and Ctrl+C the next sequence

then place cursor in desired joining position of compile sequence, make sure VA1 has focus and press Ctrl+V

so, combining 5 sequences will be over in 20 seconds or less and this way, all clips and effects are instantly accessible

Hello Anton, thank you for the reply.
I don't no if we understand each other.Wat you tell me ist ok you copy ererything from the timeline with alt c and then you paste it on the complete sequence. But what I'm doing is I take the BIN sequence(one clip) and I paste this on a new squence and so each sequence.Only the bin sequence.I hope you understand me.And when I do this I have problems with the length of the music or audio. And tonigh I'm going to try the way that you explain to me.

      Sorry for my English

        I use Ctrl+C for copy

I know of your way with single sequence clips but I have not tried it because I like my way where I can easily fine tune things, sorry

maybe you have discovered a bug but I can't be sure until I try it

Sorry you right ,for copy its ctrl C.
I try it tonight on your way.One more question if you have one sequence with for ex.
1 VA , 8 V , and 4 Audio and another with 2 VA , 6 V and 3 Audio when you copy them to a new sequence you need to preset the new sequence with the bigger number VA, V and A or just copy and paste and he create the number of timeline you need.

          Thank again

I think the extra needed track will be created automatically but can't be sure until I try

my default projects usually have enough tracks already, so I never encountered your scenario

what is your project setting? Pal, NTSC, HD, SD, 4:3 or 16:9?

are you using ProCoder Express to create the DVD files? (should work)

or are you using the new DVD creator? (may not work fine, especially if there are sequences)

now that you combined all sequences, you could close or delete the others and try again

be sure that all hard disks are NTFS formatted (even C drive), if not, DVD creation will fail

                    Hello Anton

                    My project is HD 16:9
I use Procoder Express and all the drive are NTFS
I have now only one sequence all the other are deleted.
I do this several time without problems.
Can I perhaps try to burn directly to the dvd with dvd creator??

                    Bye

you can burn directly to DVD with ProCoder Express

you can't export to DVD with DVD Creator because your project is HD and HD is not suitable for DVD Creator at this stage

                        Hello again,

Ok now I have make my DVD and also I print to HDV Tape. The problem was a corrupt Wave file that sometimes he played and sometime not.I was Just looking when he not played. So I change this Wave file and Edius no crasch anymore.I was so happy untill the moment or I have to look at he film.Everything is ok ,all the transitions, effect filters.Only at the end of the film I miss it about 20 to 25 seconds of music. But on my project I have enough music, itself more than the video.I do not understand this little problem. My IN and OUT point are also before and after the video and audio.

                        Suggestions ??
                        Thanks

in order to export everything between in and out, you need Edius 4.6

earlier versions of Edius 4.5 are faulty in the export between in and out if the outpoint is after the end of project
