  • Help with Layout Tool & Chromakey

    Hello,

I am trying to crop the edges of a greenscreen video clip to just have the greenscreen background area show.

When I go into the layout tool, I drag the edges and the layer below shows up and everything looks as it should.

When I hit Enter and return to editing, the area I just trimmed has black instead of the layer below showing through.

    I am using Edius 4.54

    Is this a bug?

It worked on set today with Edius 2.5 on my Laptop!

    Thanks for your help.

Let me ask the obvious...I assume you have the Chromakey blender applied to it?

Well, under the "Keyers" folder I have "Chromakey" applied to the clip.

Please let me know if there is a blend filter that needs to be used as well.

      Thanks

You should be able to crop within Chroma key by enabling the Rectangle.

          Hey, thanks a lot.

I did not see that part of the Chromakey interface.

You can also fade in/out using the keyframe in there too.
