Well my poor English is so... that I don't understand your message.
... and don't know what I have to do...
Do you explain that it'snot a good way to go via WMP ?
After looking to my other computers I see that they are in version 10 & 11
The computer where WMP "flashes and change resolution is in version 9".
Have I to upgrade ?
Thanks anyway

Typically, you need to install a third-party MPEG decoder for MPEG-2/VOB playback within WMP. It won't support it natively.
So, either install DVD playback software (which exposes the decoder to WMP for playback), or just embrace the goodness of either "Media Player Classic" or "VLC Player" and never worry about codecs again.

Parameters setting windows media player
Hi there,
I know this is not really a subject linked with Edius but.... I am confident in the members of these group.
The problem I meet is just on one PC (I have 3 with XP).
I prefer to use Widows Media Player to read any video file : avi, meg1,...
On my olders computers no problem to read the DVD's via WMV 9, 10 or 11. Very practical to read. I like to use WMP after encoding of before capturing. These codecs are correctly working inside Edius
But on my new Quad core (6 months already) WMP do not work correctly with some Codecs : especially mpg2 and VOB....
In fact WMP works with mpeg2 or VOB but the 2 computers screens (extended window) is flashing, changing resolution (down to 800*600 I think).... grrrrr..... And when stopping and closing WMP, all icons are in another place.. and my configuration of Edius is changed also....grrrr.
After searching during several months... no way ! I can't find how to set the parameters of WMP...
Does someone know the good way.
