  • Updating Video Card?

We have a Radeon X1600 256 Megs video card on other of our systems and it just appears very slow compared to the others that have different cards.
On TMP it takes 9 sec. for the screen to refresh after we save a title. What card is Canopus recommending these days.
P5w mother board with NX pci-e card and expansion 2 gis of ram.

    Video Card

After being in the computer industry for 25yrs my advice is a Quadro FX card depending on your budget of course, Try and go for a high end one 4500 and up if your budget allows, also check out Ebay for these cards you can sometimes pick up a bargain.

I see that the Quadro FX 1500 & 1700 type cards are made by different companies. PNY is one of those companies. Do you recommend a brand?

      Thanks

PNY is a great choice Bob. It is the only brand Quadro card I use. Great support (if needed) as well.
