No Output during Export

Simple Cut and shut project in 4.6 OHCI
Project setting 4x3 50i
Deck DSR11 set as PAL DVCam and DVin on the front
Captured 2 sections from 2 tapes so device control worked fine
Edited the two sections to then be output to a third tape.
Tab on tape is in rec position
Marked in and out on TL
went to export got an error
Scrubbed TL but saw no output on the E to E of the DSR11 even when in REC
TL Output shows in Edius window.
Project settings still PAL 50i
Tried Reboot shutdown DSR11 there is no video signal coming off the TL

WTF have I missed ??????

Check Settings>Hardware Settings>Generic OCHI Settings>(tick) Enable RealTime DV Output

No that should have been on my list - its not that but I bet it's something as simple as that. Same thing is happening on my other OHCI system.
I suppose someone out there has output PAL DVCam to tape ??????

I have ... my DVCAM is DSR25 - connected by Firewire to NX Firewire port. Just print to tape ... and it goes. No problems. No experience on using generic OHCI.

could it be that by mistake you have a hardware preset loaded while you are trying to export via ohci?
That will leave you in a state of shock. :)

No this was on the OHCI system so no other Hardware. Overlay cant effect the output can it? Pics from the TL display on the Edius window?

Gave up Started from scratch and all is well..so much for a 15 minute job!
....but then discovered that the original project settings were 50p What a Muppett!!!

Er yeah...that would definitely have something to do with it.


I'll add you to the list of people who want frame rate project switching implemented. :)

However just as an aside what I did notice and suspect it may be an issue is that at the end of Export to Tape, E4.6 Locked up. I tried this again last night just as an experiment and it did the same thing.

You won't but you will make other mistakes, just as obvious when you find the fault ;-)

I have done this, and not to long ago! and realised it by re doing from scratch as did you!!

It must be a workflow thing............
