I have captured a 30 minute DV tape file and marking in and out points and rendering each as I go through the clip. All of the shorter clips 10-20 seconds long render fine. But one clip which is about 3 minutes long crashes when about half way through the render. Not always at the same place. I am rendering out to "DV AVI Exporter plugin of DV compressed AVI file". I have tried to render this file 4 or 5 times and it always crashes Edius with the "Edius.exe has encountered a problem and needs to shut down". I then rendered the file using the "Canopus Lossless AVI Exporter plugin of Canopus Lossless compression". It rendered fine. I guess my question is why the crash? And what is the best plugin to use for rendering? I usually capture all clips, and titles, music an so on then render all of the clips into one file and then convert the one file with Procoder Express.
