MPEG Capture w/ a laptop

It depends on the version of MPEG capture you're using. I believe that every version but the latest release (v.4.05) required that you use the on-board firewire port on your Rex/Raptor/Storm/NX/SP/HD hardware in order to make this work.

If you don't have the most recent version, be sure to log in to your user account and download the updated version of MPEG capture.

I'm trying to initialize MPEG2 capture on my laptop--but no device is showing up? Can this only be used with the storm or NX card? Or do I have some kind of setting set wrong on my laptop?

Any help would be appreciated!
