Make sure you have the latest update for Imaginate, from the registered user download section on Canopus.com

The image is soft before anything is done to it. It's fine in the larger window, but in the smaller preview window, usually on the right upper corner of the screen, it's obviously soft, I tried everything but I'm sure it's a problem with my software. Gary

Exchanging software (except for media errors) doesn't really make much sense. It'll be the same.
What does the output look like? The on-screen image can be soft because of scaling.

Thanks all, I'll give them a try in the morning. Question: would canopus exchange my 2.0 imaginate for a new copy, all my images are soft, I even re-installed my old school 1.0 and it's very sharp. Gary

targa are uncompressed, as a result, Edius will find it much easier to handle them than jpg

I'm doing a large photomontage of a custom home interior, I'd use Imaginate 2.0 but I think my copy has a bug, the image is always soft no matter what I do) so I'm working within 3d pinp in Edius, The images playback fine on my timeline, pics are 4200 x 2800, give or take) will need to render when I drop the pinp on them...are targa files better for Edius or not to bother. JPEGS or what?
I'm doing a large photo montage, (custom home, shot with a Nikon D-300 12.3meg JPEG images), should I convert to something else or just leave them as is, (if so can I Batch convert in Edius, or have to take them into a Photoshop type program. Gary.Tags: None
