Help needed with Storm and Firewire Card in same system

QUESTION:

Would buying a PCIe OHCI card like the PYRO PCIe version help? so putting the card in a PCIe slot rather than a pci slot next to the Storm card?

I have to say I had problems with the DVStorm2 and Pyro PCI card on the same system. My fix was replacing the Pyro PCI to a Pyro PCI-E, no problems since.

So yes try the Pyro PCI-E chances are it will fix your problem.

Grass Valley BH - How would that have got onto my system if the only thing I installed was EDIUS

The Canopus DV Driver install is required for "legacy" hardware (DVStorm, DVRaptor-RT2, DVX-E1) to work in EDIUS. The EDIUS installer should install it for you during the installation process, but it isn't necessarily updated in update installs.

So... Go to Add/Remove Programs, find Canopus DV Driver. Uninstall it.
Reboot the machine.
Then go to the EDIUS v4.6 download, in the Drivers folder, go to Canopus DV Driver, and install it.

Angelo - What motherboard are you using - This is a good bit of news will you system capture to HDV via the PCIe Pyro card while the storm board is in your system?
