18 Presets The Style Magic Bullet

RAR is another archive/compression format like ZIP. Download UNRAR and use it to extract the files in the archive.

I generally prefer ZIP files because most versions of Windows have support for it built into the operating system, and the increased efficiency of RAR is outweighed by the near-universal support for ZIP.

Okay, I must be the only one that does not know what do do with these files after I have down loaded them. What is .rar file and what do I do with it to get it into Edius.

You can't check levels on a video monitor. You need to look at the waveform and vectorscope.
Eyeballing a video monitor to make judgments on levels is very wrong.
That why there is a legalizer in the magic bullet suite to take that worry from you.

I am judging the levels by waveform and vetorscope and my judgment is thus based on accurate readings. People perceive things different but scopes don't lie.

I know there is a dilemma because the safe color in yuv is really crude and not useful with these nice presets.
Head scratching... I will look in to it maybe I can come up with something. :)

Friend who also should check with the Vectorscope that I have too much mind without animos to generate a controversial respect your opinion ... As I say these presets were designed to give points to various situations as they are presets Magic Bullet; maybe this is due to the difference in IRE NSTC North America with the IRE "0" NSTC of Latin America, that must be the reason for the brightness But that is regulated by yourself ... The same is done with the preset Magic Bullet.

Just put the YUV filter last in the chain with "safe colors" checked.

This will make the footage legal.

Application of the "Safe Color" is not necessarily applicable in all cases and that by this time is to combine ranges filters to generate a color texture to me the desired effect of this was checked in a Video Monitor and everything is OK , are respectable point of view but this is what you doing this wonderful look with presets already identified.

That is why we combine these filters in this way to make the same point that the originals have the preset Magic Bullet... Greetings

First of all I want to compliment you on all the work in doing those presets and making them available.
From a technical stand point there are some problems with the presets which are not the fault of the presets per se . There is no legalizer in Edius.

The bases of magic bullet is to push the boundaries of legal video but there is always a legalizer function which you can apply at the end of the chain to bring the footage back within broadcast specs in AE.

I have checked a few of the presets they do come very close in look the the MB presets but preset a danger. They make the footage illegal.

Some presets lift the footage way to high and bring the black down way to low.

So if you are going to broadcast that could present a real problem.
It would be easier for if EDIUS had a legalizer so you could always put that in the end of the chain.

Now we have a dilemma. How do we legalize the video again without loosing the look.
