Hi All.
What is prefetch meaning?.
Because I have a prefetch folder in C\Window/prefetch folder.and there're some edius files in there.
I want to delete and try to reinstall if It work? Is It risk my PC If I delete those files?

It seems to me that a simple un-install of a previous edius installation is not enough. There is still some housecleaning that needs to take place. And Yes, it does mean going into the registry as well. I ran into a situation like this recently and a real thorough cleaning of all little file and entries need to be performed before the new installation.

I know that I could do this if I was in front of these systems, but I would think that GV could produce as list of all actions to do, with a disclaimer of course. People not qualified to be poking around the registry should not ever go in there.

OK. I understand now.
SO i am using Pro version, I don't have the codec option as broadcast version
have, STILL install same software. That's good.
That why I think It's hard for them to address between 2 version in one.

There are still two version broadcast and pro. The main software is the same (EDIUS) but with the broadcast licenses extra modules and codecs get activated.
(xdcam , P2 among others).

So there's no more broadcast or Pro.
OK, When install, It went very well.
But when load up , It didnt see the dongle and licence maybe.
when they put them to become one , they forgot to match
either dongle or licence for each of them. I think.

Edius Pro and broadcast are 1 version. The dongle with the licenses is different.

So the software is the same
Licenses are different

I am not very good english, But i try this.
I am using Edius Pro version.

They said the iso mage came w/Edius Pro and Broardcast.
Is that mean 4.6 is one version instead.
I mean we don't have to upgrate to broardcast.
But if not, maybe they're not match up the licence and
serial number between the Broardcast and Pro version when install.

I used the upgrade. I do get it that some people are experiencing problems.
But it is one of those head scratcher bugs :) some people where up and running from day one.

I do hope they can sort it out quickly so everyone can enjoy 4.6.

You know I only suggested an OS reinstall because some had success doing just that and where up and running quicker.

It seems reinstalling your OS is a drastic step however. I guess if you're on a naked machine it's not all that bad, but still, it seems 4.6 is slightly plagued. And did you do the upgrade or the ISO?

WHAT??? What kind of crazy idea is that? If 4.5 WORKED, and 4.6 DOESN'T, why would you ever think the OS is the problem?

Is there ANYONE who has had SUCCESS with the 4.6 Upgrade or ISO? It seems EVERYONE has a problem of some sort.

I'm glad I didn't upgrade, but then, I've got my own issues to contend with first.
