  • Cannot load HASP driver

I`ve downloaded and installed 4.6 on my older XP system and Edius opens OK - it looks fine but haven`t tried any editing yet.

But on my newer Vista system, it cannot find drivers for my usb key so I cannot complete the installation. When I previously installed v4 and the 4.54 update on the Vista pc it loaded the usb driver OK and Edius worked OK under 4.54.

In between these installs I have converted my pc from a mirror raid to two separate c and d drives and in doing so re-installed Edius from v4 using the XP compatibility mode, as before. Other programmes appear to work OK.

I am not sure if this is all down to me following an incorect sequence for installing the sw or if there is some other change in 4.6 which might affect it. Any advice will be appreciated - in particular what drivers do I need for my usb key and where do I find them.

Thanks for the link. Unfortunately it offers an abundance of choices and I am not clear which one to choose ie is it:
HASP SRM or HASP HL or HASP4 and within these it is the device driver or the License Manager(LM) downloads that I should go for?

Sorry to sound so dim but this is unknown territory for me.

Sorry, I should've described more (still sick - brain not operating fully)...

You want the HASP HL driver. Note the version numbers and installer types. The GUI installer is usually okay, though sometimes the commandline installer gets a version ahead.

Thanks for the very prompt reply. In meantime I did the obvious thing and looked at the dongle; HASP HL is embossed on the side! I have downloaded the device driver and Edius now appears to have installed OK. It will also open, but I have yet to connect all my external drives to test it out properly.
