I've been trying ways to successfully downconvert DVCPROHD to DV recently, and I was reminded that the HVX200 has a P2 to DV tape internal dubbing feature. I was going to give it a try tonight.
I'm trying to export a clip from my DVCPROHD timeline back to the P2 card. I've got the HVX200 hooked to my system via USB and the system sees the cards on the camera.
I've set my in & out points on the timeline (files on the timeline are also DVCPRO HD 1080 60i) and selected 'print to file'. Then I select 'HD P2 Clip' in the drop-down. I select destination as P2 card - and the card is specifically seen & listed. When I hit 'ok', it looks like it's about to write, and then I get the edius warning prompt "Cannot write the file. (0x87020001).
First time at writing back to P2. Any advice is enormously appreciated.
Thanks all for your help.
