  • Disc Capture Green Screen

Happy Monday everyone (except you Aussie's - Happy Tuesday!)

I would hope that everyone who is an EDIUS user and supporter would join and get the same benefits from this forum as many of us do.

Today I struggled with capturing a disc to HDD, getting nothing but green screens as a reward for my efforts. FInally, this evening I searched this forum for "green screen", and the search rewarded me with several instances where others of you have had the same problem. Based on one group of suggestions (thanks Kenneally!), within 20 minutes EDIUS was purring along with a successful capture - and all is well.

The value of this forum is remarkable, and to all of our contributing members, a thanks from all of us who occassionally need guidance with a software that is often a mystery.

    Cheers,
    Alan

Heh, I was about to auto-cut/paste the 'Don't Use PTS' and then I actually finished reading your post.

    Glad I could help. :)

Hi Alan. Of course now that everything is running smootly, you do see that the 4.6 update is out?

Hi Pat - to tell you the honest truth, everything is running so smoothly, I'm chicken to try to update for fear I might have unmentionable things possibly come down upon my poor head! I should probably view the 4.6 post to discover what improvements the 4.6 update provides over my honkin' 4.52 to see if I need any of those improvements/fixes. I've got a lamb here - don't want to wake the sleeping wolf! Any suggestion - I'd be most grateful.

My best to Jenny and Morgan as well.

No has reported problems with 4.6 yet. It looks like the upgrades are moving in the right direction.

          Good work!

Alan, glad to hear that your system is running so well. I think that you will be happy with the 4.6 update. Lots of little fixes both documented and undocumented. So go for it.
