Monitor audio levels while MiniDV capturing?

Hi
Is there a way to monitor audio levels and adjust audio levels while in capture mode or electronic mode with before capturing? I am capturing from MiniDV deck. I seem to have to audio level issue while injest. The Digital peaks are noticable in the captured file. Thanks.

If you're capturing from DV and the peaks are clipping, then the encoded data is already clipped... DV capture is just a straight data-copy from the already-encoded data on tape.
