  • Edius NX express for use as portable edit station

    Hi there
    I am geting Edius NX express for use as portable edit station.
    Will it work using PC with 3ghz dual or quad core, 2gb ram, 4hd raid 5.
    will this work for 2 up to 4 stream editing in HD with out much of rendering.
    i am just talking bout ediding with out using any or just fiew effectsmaby collorcorrecton or whiteballance filters.
    i am thinging of external sata, raid 5 for security, ill be moving it around, and using it in a van.
    This is for editing short projects like news and more, 2 -10 min long.

    Should work great. I have not built one of these for a few years. But the one I did is still in operation.

        Should work fine. The NX board set is not that long, so you should be able to fit it on a microATX motherboard and case. But don't quote me on this, I have never tried it.

          I am gona check this out soon i hope, i think it is worth trying.
          I thing it will work fine for me using those small micro computers wich are much chiper then those Max vision systems, but those from Max Vision are interesting. They look solit, but they cost some $$$$$.
