Edius not connecting to firewire!!!

Sometimes Windows forgets where it is.

Go to the Device Manager, uninstall your 1394 devices, then scan for hardware changes.

Works for me!

This happens to me when the camera's ilink has been changed (i.e. hvd>dv convert, or vice-versa)

So, if I choose Generic HDV input, but the camera's ilink has been changed to convert to SD, even if the footage is HDV, edius will not see the device.

My edius has stopped seeing my firewire out...GRRRRRR!!! What settings am I not checking? Help, big time!!!
