    Adding the corresponding format

    AVCHD and HDV 1080 24p etc., the below-mentioned format was added. Of course, the existing corresponding format existing together, it is possible to compile.

    * AVCHD
    Importof AVCHD file
    Converting the AVCHD file to Canopus HQ with simple operation, it is possible to read. While maintaining high picture quality, comfortable real time compilation is possible.
    In addition, without converting the AVCHD file it is possible also that way to read. While reducing conversion time, verifying with full resolution it can advance compilation.
    * The native file of AVCHD cannot do real time compilation/the preview. Conversion time can be held down to the minimum by the fact that the clip is converted to HQ on the time line.
    In the compilation of AVCHD 1920x1080i/24p correspondence [ 4.6 ]
    It is possible to compile the image which is recorded with the 24p mode of Panasonic HDC-HS9 and the like.

    * SONY
    HDV 1080 24p/25p/30p
    It corresponded to the compilation of HVR-V1J and HVR-DR60. With HVR-DR60, import/direct compilation is possible the file which is cut off in the middle of GOP by the restriction of file size as 1 clip. (During patent applying)

    * JVC
    HDV 720 59.94p/50p
    It corresponded to the HDV format of JVC entirely.

    In multiple CPU/ multiple core correspondence [ 4.6 ]
    In multiple CPU and multiple core environment, by the fact that full it utilizes the efficiency of CPU, acceleration of encoding is actualized.

    * Strengthening the DV output function [ 4.6 ]
    At the time of DV tape output, like assembly compilation TC Cue Up and Sync Rec (tape output from of appointment TC) becomes possible.

    * Strengthening consolidating [ 4.6 ]
    MPEG Long GOP (1080 59.94i/50i) it corresponded to consolidating. It is functional strengthening which is convenient to the data retention after the HDV compiling.

    Actually, you posted more than is necessary - visually, there's not much extra to show in 4.6 from 4.54

    Summary of new things:

    - Infinity Ingest tool and JPEG 2000 bitlayers (for Infinity JPEG 2000 content)
    - XDCAM EX MP4 wrapper decoding and integration with Sony Software
    - GFX (GV K2) MPEG Long-GOP support
    - 1920x1080/24p OHCI preset (for XDCAM EX)
    - Native MPEG encoders all support speed encoding built in
    - Consolidate now supports MPEG Long-GOP

              Support for EX-1 will be limited to OHCi preset?

                You can use EX-1 content in any project preset (like any clip), OHCI, NX, Storm, anything.

                What I mean with "1920x1080/24p OHCI preset (for XDCAM EX)" is that the new full frame preset was added with EX-1 in mind.

                As it is, there are only three full frame presets in EDIUS v4.6, for 59.94i, 50i and 23.97p. Of those three, the third (23.97p) will only be available for OHCI. In other words, there is no 1920x1080/23.97p preset for NX, SP, etc. Only 1440x1080/23.97p.

                In addition, 30p and 25p support remains at 1440x1080 resolution presets.

                  Ok, so why is there no 1920x1080 23.97 over 59.94i preset for NX/SP?
                  There is no way to preview 1920x1080 out to monitor at all, it will be downscalled to 1440. I guess that is workable if not ideal. The main thing is that the OHCI preset is there and we can export to full 1920x1080p Mpeg2 HD for blu-ray.

                    That, I have absolutely no idea on. I asked this question on more than one occasion but never got a straight answer.

                    I don't think it's a technical limitation. I'd sooner believe it to be something...forgotten.

                              As in, I haven't had a chance to test it myself with the current build, but I do recall our beta testers mentioning it was still around in a recent build.
