  • Deleting folder in bin question

In an earlier version of Edius I ran into trouble when deleting either file or folder. It not only removed the item from the project bin, but also removed the original from my hard drive - which I had to capture.

I cannot find in either Help or the Manual exactly what deleting a folder from the bin does. Does it merely remove the folder from the bin, or does it also delete the folders from my hard drive as well?

I know ther are some who like to be able to delete unwanted files and folders via Edius - they said so at the time. What is the meaning of this command today?

If you select a folder or file in the bin and then hit delete, it will only be deleted from the bin itself. If you Rt Clk the file/folder and then select delete file which is about 2/3 of the way down the column, it will delete the file/folder from your hard drive as well. There is a confirm box that comes up but it does not say that it will delete it all.
