    From the DVStorm driver readme:

    (4) When screen overlay does not show correctly with certain graphics cards

    If your screen overlay does not show correctly with PCI Express graphics cards), please add the below lines in the Canopus.ini file located in the C:\WINDOWS folder.

    [DVStorm-RT.stmcore.conf]
    OverlayMethod=1

    When the overlay does not show correctly when using certain graphics cards, you may also try adding the below lines in the Canopus.ini file located in the C:\Windows folder.

    [DVStorm-RT.stmdd]
    OverlayUpdateMethod=1

    If the above setting still does not fix the issue, please try changing the settings as below:

    [DVStorm-RT.stmdd]
    OverlayUpdateMethod=0

            If you have a slow system: slow cpu's, substandard disk throughput yes then that is possible.

            4 gb in xp isn't useful either how is it utilized?

                Give us a bit more info on your system hardware set up.

                If you use only 1 HD for system & video storage you will get this problem.

                I'm using DVStorm2 card with edius 4.54, works great if the system is set up correctly.

                      Hi, i've done some test, i worked with dual monitor and audio mixer opened, the buffer is descended to 10/160 constant, so i closed the mixer and the buffer staied at 157/160 constant, all with clips overlapping, some filter, 3d pp, filter vitascene.

                        That is how it works.

                        Audio mixer open max buffer is 10.

                        If you want to monitor audio while doing normal editing it is better to use the crt+g display.
