  • DVD 2 Program Output Question

    I have created a timeline with Edius and have on it (timeline) two programs and now want to set up a DVD Menu and being very unfamiliar with the DVD creator can someone shed some light? Here is the layout of the two (2) chapter (program) project:

    P1pt1|T|P1pt2|T|P1pt3 . . . P2pt1|T|P2pt2|T|P2pt3

    where:
    1st P = Program
    2nd pt = Program Part
    T = Transition
    ... = black space

    I have authored out a couple one chapter (program) per timeline DVD projects but never one with more than one chapter on a single timeline and now I have two. How do I get Edius to recognize the second chapter in the DVD menu so that the viewer can choose chapter 1 (program 1) or chapter 2 (program 2)?

    BTW, I've read the HELP section on DVD authoring AND watched the tutorial and neither really show me how to do two chapters and burn them out.

    Thanks in advance for the help.

    This DVD authoring is giving me fits! I tried separating the two programs into separate sequences and all that accomplished was a second page.

    Anyone have any ideas how to get two chapters that are on one timeline? Or at least direct me where to go to learn? It's not in the HELP section clear enough for DVD authoring AND it's not in the video clear enough to make sense.

      You need to use markers to make chapters? (Default = 'v' key)

      Also, each sequence (aka timeline) will be treated as one Title on a DVD disc. If you want more than one Title, you'll need separate sequences.
