  • Working with Alpha 1

I am currently playing with version 4 seeing as it is now getting somewhere near to being useable for me.
I know that Edius is inferior in its Alpha handling, mattes etc but believe there is a way of utilising sequences to bring back in a sequence with alpha to then add a PIP to the sequence. I thought Lossless supported alpha but have tried that but it seems not to work.

    Any ideas?

The only thing you can use is the feature convert to alpha matte using the HQ codec - sequences do not hold alpha channel...This is very annoying for me as well...

Can you still not save anything on the timeline with Alpha in, to a format that holds it's Alpha? Convert to alpha matte is always greyed out. Have not been able to bring it to life

In order to use the convert to alpha matte feature the selected clips must have the same characteristics (image size, aspect ratio, etc)
