wondering what motherboard you are using for those CPU's, if it's a X7DAx series did you have to update the BIOS?

I can't see any reason why you would want to spend 10.000 on a graphic card with SDI!
It's like buying a Ferrari to drive round in your back yard.

Any of the Quardra series are really overkill for something like Edius, except the 1500 in my opinion.

Today you can get a card that will do suitable HD resolution to VGA/DVI with 256MB RAM for as little as $60.

If you want HD-SDI output to monitor, then you should go for the GV hardware instead.

by changing Nvidia FX1300 to ATI Fire GL5600, not any significant rendering performance change.. Anyway now can see fullHD on full screen due to more memory; 128 to 512MB DDR4.

    So, happy anyway

    BR, Deepcore

Finally decided to have Nvidia FX 3700 board.. ATI was manufactured by HP and did not work on Supermicro..

Thank's.. I desided to try ATI File GL5600.. anyway it has 512 memory compared to 128 FX1300..

I'll tell You results of comparison then..

Only the high end QuadroFX cards eg FX4500 are twin slots, my 3450 is single slot like the cheaper ones too, thus can be used with NX.

Quadro FX3450 here and working well together. But EDIUS doesn't care about Open GL at all, you only get a benefit out of it if you are using programs such as After Effects, Combustion, Lightwave, Cinema4D etc.
Have built a few with QuadroFX 1500 that work just as strong with EDIUS and these are half the price.

    1. Quadro FX series ?

    3. ATI Radeon HD series ?

What would be dream adapter for NX HD editing..
For use with Edius there is no difference between the ATI cards Both the Radeon and Fire GL work well but the extra expense of the FireGL is not worth it.
I cannot comment on the Quadro as I have not tried it but I have had a lot of problems with the nvidea 8800GT series.
I acquired the FireGL because the Radeon worked really well and hoped the FireGL would work better with Boris but no, even though the FireGL cards are listed on the Boris site it still reports incompatible, i suspect insufficient texture memory which is a surprise.
The problem may be a left over from the other cards that have been in but all were unloaded before the other placed in, Oh well it was a nice try.
