Difference Between DV Exporter plug-ins?

What the heck is the difference between the:

Exporter Plugin of DV Compressed AVI Files

and the:

DV stream file exporter plugin

when you use the Exporter plugin dialog menu?

I can't seem to find anything about this in the help menus.

EDIT: The only clue I see is that one file ends up with the extension of AVI and the other has an extension of DV.

You have it correct. The DV Stream Exporter will export an unwrapped DV stream. It's often called "Raw DV" by some applications. Essentially it's the same data that would be in a DV AVI or QuickTime DV file, but without the AVI or QuickTime headers and structure "wrapping" the data.

Cool! That's something good to know. I'll have to see how to effectively use that info.
