I forgot to mention a quick trick
1. be sure project setting render format is set to Canopus HQ
2. double click the ruler above a m2t clip with slow motion, this will mark in and out
3. press Shift+Q and the clip will become HQ

Are you sure the problem was the fact that they wern't HQ files? As far as I know, regardless of how CPU hungry a type of video file is, once rendered and exported, it shouldn't make a difference.
Were your "problem" slo-mo shots, pans by any chance?

I guess my question was a little unclear. I have m2t files on the timeline because I got lazy and did not convert them to hq before placing them on timeline. I have made a 1 hour video however any slow motion material does not export well in m2t format. I need the m2ts on the timeline in hq so that I can export smoothly. If I convert in bin then it makes a new file therefore forcing me to re edit everything. I hope that makes sense. i have been succeccfull this time, I removed slow motion trouble clips and even converted some of them into hq and re edited that part just to get this project out as time is a problem. Thanks again guys. I will always edit in hq for now on.

You can also right-click on the clips in the bin and convert them there. You don't get the flexibility to set in/out points, however.

converting m2t to hq avi on timeline?
Hi Guys. Can I convert m2t to HQ avi on timeline. i tried editing with m2t directly and to my surprise it worked. However, upon export to dvd I can see the occasional hook up in the picture due to the m2t files. Whats a quick work around to this as I need to make the change quick. I need the m2t on the timeline in hq avi so i can export smoothly, will never use m2t to edit with again, silly me.Tags: None
