Edius and NBC

I found this link that talks about NBC using Edius. I thought at one time the Highend Panasonic P2 cameras came with a copy of Edius Broadcast. It is a good marketing technique if that was true. I wonder how much market share Edius has since the Grass Valley buy out.

Kind of old news. Mike Downey mentioned getting many NBC stations up to speed with Edius a while back. With so much source footage formats I'm not surprised to see Edius in the news industry. GV/Thompson have been huge players with the networks for decades... no harm in that.
