    I have a Problem with ((XDCAM SELECT)) tool can any 1 help

    Hi every one am Darbaz and i am new in this forum

    i have a problem with my "XDCAM SELECT" if any one can help me pls help me cuz i'm tring so hard but it still the same problem that can not connect to xd drive

    How are you trying to connect? FTP or FireWire?

    If FTP:

    - Make sure you have the correct IP address
    - The username is always 'admin' and the password is the model number of the device (e.g. 'pdz-f70')
    - Make sure the XDCAM device is set for network connectivity, and is not 'active' (blue light on most decks)

    If FireWire:

    - Make absolutely sure the deck is not switched to iLink mode, but is set to FAM mode instead
    - Install all necessary vendor-supplied software and drivers for the XDCAM device

      i just connect the firewire to my PC.

                I use the firewire its working .. but i want to use the XDCAM SELECT its not connecting and i can't view the items to download it from the disc but when i use the basic capturing its working.

                Thats the problem with XDCAM!!

                  DID YOU PUT the deck TO FAM= File access mode???

                  Saying you want to use xdcam select without telling us if you did want we suggested won't get you further.
                  We already know you want to use xdcam select and we are trying to help but if you keep telling us the same thing over and over we can not help you.

                    hi Darbaz

                    Which XDCAM device are you using? If you can tell me the camera or deck model, then I can tell you how to switch it to File Access Mode.

                      1. Did you install the PDZ software that came with the XDCAM deck?
                      2. Is the deck in FAM mode?
