  • Question about transition.

    Hi
Would you please help me? I have a question about transition, when I use transition between two clips, if one of them has 3D PIP Effect, transition is caused 3D PIP will apply to another clip, how can I prevent it?
    Thanks for any help
    Sean

Use a multi-track transition - place one clip on a track above and add the transition to the mix (or keyer) part of the clip.

Thanks for your reply, but sorry I didn’t understand well, would you please explain more? You said place a clip in above track and add transition to the mix part of clip, but what do you mean?

Kenneally is referring to adding a second A/V or V track above the track that your PIP video is on. You can then transition between tracks by putting your transition at the beginning of the clip that you have placed on this added track.

With PIP, as you've seen, if both clips are on the same track, EDIUS assumes that you want to continue the PIP effect into the second clip if a transition is applied between the two.

I love having the flexability of being able to transition between clips and/or tracks. Some very creative things can be done with this.

        Hope this helps.

            Kenneally,

Where can I find the additional PDF documents like that one. For some reason I cannot locate them in the support section. About all I found were the EDIUS V3 docs.

We are about to convert our news edit workstations to EDIUS and I would like to be able to use them for handouts for the editors (plus refresh my memory as well before training).

            Thanks.

            T

                  Right where STeve pointed.

Plus there will be some new, supplemental 'How To' documents going up soon, in time for the v4.6 release - these extra documents cover EDIUS Broadcast features.
