dongle problem

Probably the dongle driver is mismatched on the first port somehow. Putting the dongle in a USB port it hasn't been in before will reinstall the dongle driver, so that probably fixed it - at least for that port. -
Another way to verify the dongle is functioning is to run the EDIUSLM.EXE utility.Leave a comment:

Must have been a bad USB slot. I put it in another slot and it came up this time without the message.
Thanks

Hello Brandon: Thanks for your reply. You are correct the dongle came with the upgrade. The NX machine when running 3.5 did not need activation because the NX card was actually the "dongle". This was a machine that Randy built for me. About 12 days ago I finally upgraded to 4.0 and then on to 4.54 and the upgrade went without a hitch.
Just today I started up Edius to complete a project that I was working on since the upgrade. The tag on my dongle reads " edius pro 4 upgrade" then it has a number. It is short and green and the L. E. D. lights up. Today was the first time I got the messge.
I bought two up grades to 4.0. The other machine is a Storm machine and it so far is running 4.54 without the message. I will first try to put the dongle in another usb slot and if that fails try the dongle from the other machine.
Thanks

Hi Ronnie,
At some point you had an EDIUS 4 dongle, correct? EDIUS v4.x won't recognize the EDIUS hardware, nor the EDIUS v3.x dongle. It'll want a v4.x dongle.Leave a comment:

dongle problem
I up graded from 3.5 NX machine to 4.54. Now when I start Edius I get only 12 days left insert the dongle to prevent this message.
I never even took the dongle out of the computer since I got it 2 years ago.
All I did was up grade to 4.54.
I checked the dongle and the led light comes on as it does with procoder 2 and the connection to the computer.
Anthing else I need to do to keep from 4.54 going away?
Thanks
