music fade in and out

I still miss the old Speed Razor days where you could just whip your mouse one way or the other and it would put in a fade from whichever point you started at. I loved it but trying to explain it to someone who has never tried it is about impossible. You had to have been there.
Why have some things become more difficult to accomplish as time goes on?

yes, that was a great shortcut, there were many others as well, that is why Speed razor was called Speed razor

of SpeedRazors fast actions. I do use rubberbands most of the time in Edius. Also use rubberbands for video tracks and PnP tracks. Sometimes the quickest way to fade video. I perfer the ABCD,etc. type of editing. I like to see what content I have on separate tracks and sometimes the only way to fade from specific transitions using rubberbands.

Select audio track use audio only(unlink)

Works for me.

But I use the rubber bands or the bcf2000

in my case, this is always unlocked

so to fade audio in less than a second requires two mouse actions

where is fade botton ? in adobe premiere you can use audio transitions i was looking in edius cant find the audio trasitions fade in and out .

Use the Preferences to customize the Timeline buttons and add the "Fade" buttons. Using the Fade Button menu pull-down arrow choose "Audio clip only"
