edius pro or broadcast ???

hi to all

i ordered edius broadcast , today they gave it to me . but i think its edius pro not broadcast .

how can i know if it pro or broadcast ? before i open it ???

its upgrade version . and on the book they write edius 4.5 edius neo .

put in your dongle.
Open the license manger

O wait there is an easier way.....

But in the dongle (if it is an upgrade you need to have the old one plugge in to)

Start Edius and look in your task bar.
there will be a purple icon to the right.
XDselect.
In Edius P2 select will also be available.

If you see those things its broadcast.

Neo is the lite version of Edius. Broadcast is the "supersize" version that includes P2 and the ability to use other codecs. Look at your dongle. It should say EdiusBC 4.5 on the tag.

afaik Neo will have NEO on the box not EDIUS 4.5 neo
Maybe you get a free copy of Neo now when you order broadcast?

If you already installed the product, just check if P2 Select is available on the Capture menu.

I remember that some of the updated PDF documentation files for Edius Broadcast that I downloaded also mention Edius Neo on the cover. I guess there is enough overlap between the products to allow them to be reused, but it can be confusing.

The EDIUS Neo box isn't really a box in most countries - it's a slim DVD-style case instead, and it's grey.

EDIUS Pro's white box features a green 'film reel' logo, and EDIUS Broadcast a red 'film reel' logo.

Both boxes are clearly labelled as to what they are, and feature a sticker announcing that v4.5 is included.

Ultimately, the most accurate method is to run the EDIUSLM.EXE program and see if you have licenses for P2, XDCAM etc.

i have the upgrade version , so its not in box , its just dongle with three manuale .

i didnt open it yet . beacuse i think its pro not broadcast .


from outside the case its written ( EDIUSPRO 4.5 (WR) UGPRO 3.0 )

Ah. I don't know the codes off hand, so it might be better to contact your reseller to confirm things, before you open the package.

Typically, EDIUS Broadcast codes involve having "EDIUS BC" in them, or "EDIUS BP"

The WR is the "PRO" upgrade from 3 AFAIk.
