Is there a way to pan an oversized image in Edius without using Imaginate or Boris etc. I don't think there is... We could use Layout if it had keyframes as mentioned/requested many times before but...

    Thanks

You can use 3D PIP, but your full frame image size is rescaled to project resolution, so useful zooming is limited.

You can potentially mitigate the limitations/ill effects imposed by rescaling by using the layout tool first to set the extents of the part of your picture that you're using.

Yes you can (3D PIP) but the quality is shocking, Edius resizes the graphic / clip to the project settings and any zoom / pan is done at that setting causing pixelation if too much zoom is used
Boris is the best for this especially if you use the 1:2:1 pull down on output file, stops shimmering edges
