  • Edius Pro 8 no longer loads and asks for serial number

    Firstly I don't remember when purchasing Edius that there is a time limit for purchases. Mine is now 3 years old and no longer loads and I'm asked to enter the serial number.

    My concern is:
    Do I now have to purchase again?
    Do I loose everything I had and have to start all over again with a new install from the disc?

    I would ask support but my login details no longer work and it can take some days before I'm issued new login details.

    Tom, you should not need to purchase again, but Edius Pro needs to connect to the internet once a month to maintain it's use. Have you done this?

    Have you checked the GV Licence Manager to see the status. Do you know your serial number?

      Have been using Edius regularly at least once per day for some weeks and my last time using it was last night.

      I do have a licence number but when first purchased I had two, one was for the test and the other was my purchase. But the purchased one never worked and support solved my problem.

      What is GV Licence Manager? Have never used it but have found it now and it appears to have no useful information.

        You could also ask the reseller where you purchased Edius to help

        Does your Licence Manager look like this:

          Please check the license manager to see if you have an active license. If not, activate your serial number. You can do this in EDIUS or through the license manager.

            Thank you John and SL.

            My Licence Manager had no information like your image John.

            I had not seen the link you sent SL. But do remember an email on the subject many moons ago and so I was able to login at eID and my original serial number is there. But at the time of purchase I had problems in that it did not work.

            However, I entered that serial number on the Edius question on trying to load Edius and from then onwards all went OK and my Edius now loads as normal.
            So it appears all is now well as my GV Licence List now has my Edius information.

            So again thanks for all your help.
