I have purchased the Edius 9 pro upgrade from Edius 8.5 WG. Do I need to deactivate my license before installing Edius 9 pro? When I tried to install Edius 9 a dialog came up asking if I wanted to deactivate my license. I exited out of setup and came here! I tried a search but nothing relevant came up.

9 Pro upgrade from 8 WG? that is a big step down, why?
in any case, do the following:
1. get your free EDIUS 10 serial (this will also be your EDIUS 9 serial) www.edius.net/plus
2. deactivate EDIUS 8WG in license manager so no license is seen in LM
3. activate the 10 Pro serial inside LM and then you will be asked for your previous 8WG serial, enter it
copy any third party plugins from 8WG to 9 Pro
Now you can use both versions on the same PC, and if you no longer need 8WG, then uninstall it but do not deactivate itAnton Strauss
