  • EDIUS 8 WG License question

I'm running EDIUS 8 on a Windows 10 machine that is offline (connected to Intranet only).
The user I'm working with has a local profile, and everything runs fine.
Now the machine is going to be integrated to Active Directory by IT staff, and what I've been told is that a new user profile will be created (and probably most/all settings will be lost doing so).
I wonder: Will the EDIUS licensing survive this, or should I deactivate the license before, and reactivate afterwards?

Good question, and I guess it depends on how destructive the integration process is.

For the sake of safety, I would deactivate anything that is node locked to that particular computer, such as Edius and of course any other software that licenses in a similar manner before the IT guys get a hold of the system. Keep in mind that they may also be needed for admin access to re-activate if the user access rights of the AD user profile prohibit the re-activation
