  • GV Licence manager issue

    Hi All,

Since some weeks, months my GV Licence manager application is going crazy. After starting my computer and loading Windows 10 the GV Licence Manager is starting (its normal), BUT it creates a tonns of GV Licence manager icons on the Taskbar (see attachment pictures). Minutes long it just creating new and new icons, and after some minutes all are going down. GV Licence manager seems to be working, Edius is starting fine.

But its so annoying, and from time to time it seems to be longer and longer till GV Licence manager is finishing this "job". Do anyone know a sollution to this?

First step I would suggest is to uninstall edius, mync, and the licence manager (don't deactivate), reboot, dump the temp files, disable your virus scanner (this includes windows defender), and re-install Edius. It is also advise to add "program files\grass valley\edius9\*", "program data\grass valley\*", "users\username\appdata\roaming\grass valley\*" and tour video media drive to your virus scanner exception list.

If you want to do a completely clean install, here are the steps as posted by Anton many times, which basically add the steps of deleting the contents of some of those exception folders I noted.

    1. uninstall EDIUS (do not deactivate)
    2. uninstall Mync (do not deactivate)
    3. uninstall GV License manager
    4. delete everything in program files/grass valley/edius9 except the plugin folder
    5. delete everything inside program data/grass valley
    6. delete everything in users/username/appdata/roaming/grass valley
    7. empty users/username/appdata/local/temp
    8. reboot PC
    9. disable virus scnanners and install Edius
Edius WG 9.55.9157, various 3rd party plugins, VisTitle 2.9.6.0, Win 7 Ultimate SP1, i7-4790K @ 4GHz with HD4600 GPU embedded, MSI Z97 Gaming 7 Motherboard, 32GB Kingston HyperX RAM, nVidia GTX Titan Black 6GB GPU, Matrox MX02 Mini MAX, Corsair 750W PSU, Corsair H110i GT Water Cooler, Corsair C70 case, 8TB Internal RAID 0/stripe (2x4TB Seagate SATAIII HDD's, Win7 Software stripe), 1TB Crucial MX500 SSD, Pioneer BDR-207D, Dual 1920x1080 monitors (one on GTX and one on Intel HD4600).
