  • Ripple Delete shortcut problem

I have always had Shift-D mapped as Ripple Delete (Between In/Out), so that I could quickly mark a range and remove it, rippling the entire timeline back, regardless of the mode the timeline is in (insert/overwrite).

After installing 9.51 this doesn't seem to be working anymore and is just lifting the section out of the timeline, leaving a hole. I also tried Delete (Between In/Out) - Follow Mode, and that is behaving the same way, leaving a hole regardless of the timeline mode.

Ripple Cut (Between In/Out) - All Tracks is working correctly, so I am using that now for essentially the same purpose,

    Can anyone else confirm this?

If so, Steve and/or Pat, could you check into this?

Thanks for checking Anton. All sync locks are on, as they always have been, but I did try both on and off with no success. I also tried toggling the timeline mode, even though it shouldn't make a difference. I even tried mapping it as a different key combo, but still no luck.

My ALT-D is a fade/dissolve to black and CTRL-D is a fade/dissolve up from black. Those three shortcuts are probably most used custom ones.

I guess the next step is to try a new user profile to see if that fixes things. (currently exporting a few files, so that may have to wait until tomorrow. It's not 12PM for me like it is for you. You are actually almost as far away from me as is possible. A straight line through the center of the planet from me comes out off the coast of Tazmania and southern Australia

I think there is user profile corruption happening between version updates

I basically save my keyboard shortcuts and make a new profile with each major upgrade, when there are lost of changes

then I spend about 10 min adding all my buttons and setting layout to my liking and importing keyboard shortcuts

Just got through the first file in my batch, so I stopped it and created a new profile. That worked fine.

I don't have a lot of customized settings, so it doesn't take me very long to get things back up and running either after importing my settings from a previous export.

I have Macro Generator Pro also, which is supposed to be able to save more settings than an regular edius export, so I might give that a try for the next time, not that saving 5 minutes matters too much.

Works fine here. As Anton suggested, can you try a new profile?

              Yep, thanks Pat, all sorted.

A new profile was my next step, as per post #3, even before Anton mentioned it. I just wanted to know if it was a problem localized to me or an issue with Edius before I started chasing problems on my end.
