    Hi

This is probably not an Edius question but I am a bit perplexed. If you go to the apple HD sample site or the Adobe HD sample site, the video is astounding. Now, granted, it is probably footage shot with the highest grade cameras known to man etc.....but....whatever I'm using to encode to quicktime or flash seems not to be the same or I am totally stoopid.

I am using a sony HD videocam and edius or vegas, tis complete junk by the time I get to the final web ready piece of vid. I have tried every combination of settings in various forms but no go.

Can anyone shed some light on this? I have a chance here of scoring a big contract but it should look half as good as the above mentioned sites. Otherwise I might as well keep shooting the birds and bees in the backyard.

Thanks, still on the trial of Edius but have really grown into it. Just love the speed of this animal!

    Regards
    Luke

Obviously the main breakdown usually on web video is the encoder and the format. What are you using and what are you encoding to?

      Hi

The only encoder that works well is the FXhome videowrap encoder. It is a great piece of software but you are restricted to size (600 x 340). It encodes to flash or quicktime. It does not give any other options though.

I have used the new flash encoder that comes with flash CS3, squeeze trial etc....and a bunch of other software that claims to do the thing.

I just downloaded the trial version of FlixPro and wondered if there is a way to access from ProCoder 3 or some other way in EdiusBroadcast 4.5. If not what is the best workflow. thanks

export between I and O to CanopusHQ

then load the CanopusHQ file in FlixPro

CanopusHQ can be used for SD or HD
